Shooting investigation in Santa Cruz

The Santa Cruz Police Department is investigating a shooting on Glover Street.

According to police, there were reports of shots fired in the area around 9:04 p.m. Tuesday, September 6 th .

No one was hurt, but a bullet did hit a parked vehicle. Witnesses told officers that a light colored sedan followed a dark colored SUV on Averitt Street. Both vehicles were then seen on Averitt and Glover Streets and went in opposite directions after witnesses reported hearing gun fire.

There is no suspect information or further information on the vehicles at this time.

The Neighborhood Enforcement Team and Investigations is looking for any possible ties to gang activity.
