Salinas police identify man killed near Chinatown on Labor Day

UPDATE 9/7/2016 5:21 PM: On Wednesday, Salinas police released the identity of the man shot and killed early in the morning on Labor Day.

Investigators said Antonio Arredondo, 53, of Salinas, was found dead in the entry way of a building at 13 E. Lake St.

The case is being investigated as the city’s 28th homicide.

UPDATE 9/5/16 3:41 AM: Salinas police confirm a 53-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday morning.

This is the city’s 28th homicide of the year.
