Child plays in front yard during Capitola shooting

Four suspects are on the run after a shooting Monday night in the 4300 block of Diamond Street in Capitola, according to police.

Officers said four men were inside a car and exchanged words with a man outside his home around 9 p.m.

One suspect got out of the car and fired gunshots at the man, while he was hanging out with a woman and a child in the front yard, police said.

No one was hit, and no injuries were reported. Police said the suspects drove off toward Capitola Road in a gold or silver car.

No additional information was given on those suspects — only that they were wearing dark clothing.
