Man shot at a park in East Salinas

A man is in the hospital after being shot at a park in East Salinas.

Police said it happened just before 8 p.m. Monday at Monte Bella Community Park.

The victim showed up at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

His injuries are potentially life-threatening.

There is no suspect information at this time.

Officers are at the park investigating.

This is the eighth shooting in the city since Friday.
