Five years behind bars for Soledad 18-year-old who fired into a house

When the judge handed down the sentence, she noted that 18-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez did not have a criminal record, but the seriousness of his actions and the charge deserved a prison term. That’s according to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office.

Judge Julie Carver sentenced Rodriguez to five years in prison.

Back in March, Rodriguez was riding his bicycle when got into an argument with four young men outside a house in Soledad.

“He returned a short time later with a firearm and another armed individual. They both fired multiple shots at the residents, while the victims were still outside,” according to the district attorney’s office.

Rodriguez pleaded guilty on July 5 to one count of shooting at an inhabited building, according to the D.A.’s office.
