Man shot and killed near San Lorenzo River levee
Santa Cruz police are investigating a homicide near the San Lorenzo River levee Tuesday morning.
Police and the coroner secured an area behind University Copy, where a man’s body was discovered.
Officers said there was an argument between two homeless people, before the victim was shot. The suspect is still on the loose, described as a white man, late 20s to 30s, wearing a baseball cap, a beige hoodie and dark pants.
This incident marks the second homicide in Santa Cruz this year.
