Cal Fire forecasting air quality in Big Sur as ”hazardous”

The Soberanes Fire is producing more unhealthy air on the Central Coast.

Cal Fire is reporting the air quality in Big Sur will fall in the “hazardous” category Wednesday.

Air quality in Carmel Valley and Lockwood areas will also be bad, falling in the unhealthy category.

People sensitive to smoke should avoid Greenfield and King City as Cal Fire forecasts air quality to be unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Older folks, children, pregnant women and anyone with chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma, should take precautions and avoid exposure to smoke.
