Fire burning near Morgan Hill now 75 percent contained

UPDATE 8/13/16: Saturday morning: Good progress made on fighting the wildfire near Morgan Hill. The 25 acre fire is now 75 percent contained, according to Cal Fire. That’s up from 10 percent Friday evening.

UPDATE 8/12/16 7:12PM: A Wildfire burning near Morgan Hill is 25 acres and is 10 percent contained Friday night, according to Cal Fire.

The Oak Fire began just after 3 p.m. off of Uvas Road and Watsonville Road near the Uvas Reservoir. About 30 homes were threatened.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Cal Fire reports that a 15 acre wildfire is burning off Uvas Road and Watsonville Road, west of Morgan Hill in Santa Clara County. It has been dubbed #OakFire.
