Salinas man robbed while walking home

Salinas Police say a 24 year old man was robbed as he walked home. He was dropped off by a friend and was walking on Fairview Avenue at Sharon Drive when a dark blue Honda drove by. The car made a U-turn and pulled up to the man and the passenger got out and pointed a gun at him demanding his money and phone.

Police say the suspect then drove onto the northbound 101 on ramp. He’s described as a man between 18 and 21 years old, wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jeans, and a white short sleeve shirt.
