Wanted felon arrested Tuesday after standoff with Watsonville police

A standoff between Watsonville Police and a suspect is over after officers said the man hid inside a home on Center Street for more than three hours Tuesday.

Officers said Ruben Espinoza, a wanted felon, was spotted in a stolen car and tried to get away. They said Espinoza ended up inside a home in the 200 block of Center Street, where he hid inside a closet.

Police said Espinoza was eventually arrested.
