Drug and weapons arrest in Watsonville

A known gang member is behind bars and facing multiple felony charges after being found with drugs and a loaded firearm by Santa Cruz County gang and narcotics agents.

Enrique Ramos, 33, was on probation and subject to search terms when he was arrested Saturday August 6 in Watsonville. Agents spotted Ramos standing at the driver’s door of a parked car in the 100 block of Grant Street.

During the probation compliance check, agents with the Anti-Crime Task Force found a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic firearm and an extra loaded magazine in Ramos’ vehicle. Agents also discovered 1.1 grams of cocaine in his jacket pocket.

Ramos was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
