Warriors Draymond Green arrested for Michigan assault

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was arrested for an alleged assault early Sunday morning in East Lansing, Michigan, authorities said Monday.

The 26-year-old player got into an altercation with a man around 2:41 a.m. near off-campus bars close to Michigan State University campus, according to East Lansing police. The man was not hurt.

A court record shows Green posted a $200 bond Monday. His arraignment is scheduled for July 20 at 8 a.m.

The Golden State Warriors released a statement in response to the incident: “At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation.”

If convicted, Green could face up to 93 days in jail and/or a $500 fine.
