Man shot in South Salinas

Police are investigating a shooting in South Salinas.

It happened on Soledad and East Alisal Streets a little before 8:30 p.m. Friday.

According to police, a man in his 20s was shot in the lower back. His injuries are not life threatening.

Police said he is not cooperating with officers. He was taken to the hospital.

Soledad Street is temporarily closed as officers investigate.

Police are talking to witnesses to gather suspect information.
