Fire destroys Seaside home

One home is destroyed and another damaged after a fire Monday evening.

Fire officials said the fire started in the master bedroom of a home on Westminster Ct. just before 10 p.m.. Crews said the large home was almost entirely destroyed and a neighboring home was also damaged.

One person was taken to the hospital and released.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and Seaside Fire believes fireworks were not a factor.
