Fence protects Santa Cruz beach

Fourth of July beach goers will need to pass through a gate and bag check before enjoying the holiday at Twin Lakes Beach.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies will be searching bags and confiscating illegal fireworks and alcohol.

KION’s Matt Sizemore will be on hand to report live from the scene tonight at 5 and 6 p.m..
