Law enforcement agencies carry Special Olympics torch

Central Coast law enforcement agencies joined forces Tuesday to carry the Special Olympics torch from Salinas to the Monterey Peninsula. The aim is to increase awareness and raise funds for the Special Olympics movement.

The torch is being carried by members of the Salinas Police Department, Monterey County Sheriff’sDepartment, California Highway Patrol, Seaside Police Department, C.S.U.M.B. Police Department, Monterey County probation, Parole, District Attorney’s Office, Correctional Training Facility-Soledad and the Marina Police Department.
