Salinas police investigate shooting on Santa Teresa Way

Salinas police are investigating an attempted murder in the area of Santa Teresa Way and Santa Teresa Circle.

On Tuesday night around 9:25 p.m., a 19-year-old man was walking home from a nearby shopping center when he was shot in the lower body.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Several homes and parked cars were also struck by bullets.

A small black or dark-colored sedan was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
