Salinas Chamber April Fools!

It’s the job of the Salinas Chamber of Commerce to put the area in the best light possible, but on this April 1st, they seem to have pulled out all the stops for their next big event. On this beautiful April 1st, the Salinas Chamber of Commerce wants you to know all about the Grand Tour of Chualar! that’s a tiny town 10 minutes south of Salinas off 101.

Salinas Chamber President Paul Farmer was more than excited to tell us about this year’s big event. The few selected to participate in this “too good to actually be true” Grand Tour of Chualar will be picked up by way of luxury limousine from the chamber building on April 15th. From there they will make one stop in Greenfield to experience hand-made, caviar tacos. Once in Chualar, guests will alledgedly take a ride in an Apache Helicopter for a bird’s-eye view of the entire south valley before the main event, an intimate concert at the Soledad Mission with Rihanna performing her number-one hit song “Work.” Now, again keeping today’s date in mind, we asked the chamber how they were able to put this all together? Good connections.

“And some people say well how did you get Rhianna? I used to date her…I mean, I don’t want to brag, but I used to date her…so…and then how did we get an Apache, because not everyone can get an Apache Helicopter? But one of our staff members in accounting person, she is a former NAVY SEAL and a two-star general so she made some phone calls and we hooked it up,” said Paul Farmer.

We’re told there is no cost to participants as an anonymous wealthy sponsor will be footing the bill. those interested in this event must register through the chamber website today and today only. Again, today being April 1st.

Remember, today is the only day to register, and it’s also April 1st.
This must be one of the most elaborate april fool’s jokes to be spun out by any chamber of commerce ever.
