21-year-old shot to death in Salinas Sunday

Salinas police are investigating the city’s eighth homicide of the year.

At approximately 3:50 a.m. Sunday, officers found Ruben Estrada, 21, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at a home on the 1100 block of Ranchero Drive. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Investigators believe a fight broke out during a party at the house which led to the shooting death of Estrada, police said.

The victim is not a known gang member, according to Salinas Police.
