Deputies arrest two in front of Safeway at Prunetree Shopping Center

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people in front of the Safeway in the Prunetree Shopping Center.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, both Efrain Bernal-Arevalo, a gang member, and Magan Reynaldo, had felony warrants for their arrest.

Deputies found them in a car and said Bernal-Arevalo had an illegal shotgun and handgun in the vehicle. They also said he may be related to recent robberies in both Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
