Shooting at Salinas business leads police to stolen vehicle

Salinas police are investigating a shooting at a store on the 2100 block of N. Main Street, after a clerk at the business reported hearing gunfire in the parking lot.

It happened Monday night at 9:16 p.m.

Officers responded to the area and found a stolen vehicle that had been hit by bullets. The business was also struck, but no one was injured.

Police believe there was some kind of dispute in the parking lot that led to the shots fired.

The suspects fled the area and abandoned the stolen vehicle, but a search of the car revealed indications of drug sales.
