UPDATE: Lock-down lifted for three San Lorenzo Valley schools

UPDATE 2/2/2016 10:45 AM: The San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District confirmed with KION that the lock-down has been lifted for all three schools. Officials said it was a false alarm.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office has put three San Lorenzo Valley Schools on precautionary lock-down. Those schools include SLV Elementary, Junior High and the High School, all located on the same campus in Felton.

The lock-down follows an unconfirmed report of someone in the area with a gun. Deputies are doing a security check and have so far found no validity to the report.
