Salinas city council censure councilman Jose Castaneda

hide under the bed.”* city leaders say they have plans to bring back a public fireworks show… so the community can still have a place to celebrate. also at the meeting tonight council members made the decision to censure councilman jose castaneda. a censure is basically an official reprimand. now he was not at the meeting tonight… and his colleagues were quick to point that out… saying they had some big issues on the agenda tonight that affects his district, like farm worker housing, and the fact that he didnt show up just supported their case that he should be censured. tonight city leaders introduced the six allegations against castaneda… some include acting aggressive and disrespectful toward city employees and even rude comments to news reporters.. to which his lawyer said they are public figures and should have thicker skin. *joe gunter/mayor of salinas “he treated employees poorly he just didn’t behave well with others.
