Live and work in one of the most beautiful television markets in California. KION-TV in Monterey/Salinas, California is accepting applications for an experienced multimedia journalist/producer.

We’re looking for an experienced MMJ/producer to join our team, covering California’s Central Coast. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how he or she can produce interesting, well-paced newscasts as well as shoot, write, edit, and present compelling content for multiple platforms.

We’re looking for someone who can come up with great story ideas on a daily basis, build contacts in the community, and approach each story or newscast with a passion for great storytelling, making sure the viewer gets the best possible information and creating the best product on air or online.

You will work with state-of-the-art newsgathering equipment and the latest generation of 4G wireless live technology. Our coverage area is large and the competition is significant. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Multimedia Journalist/Producer experience in a television newsroom is required for this position.
