Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Pre-Reunion races kick-off Car Week

Sunday Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca hosted the Monterey Pre-Reunion. It featured more than 300 cars competing before the main event the Rolex Monterey Motorsport Reunion starting Thursday August 13th.

Some of the drivers were just getting a feel for the track said CEO Jill Campbell, “Many of these guys have never raced at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca before. This is a very technical track so they get to get used the track, we have training programs for them through the week, we have opportunities for them to really find out just how challenging this iconic race track is.”

Race crews were busy prepping their cars for the different events. The historic cars run in their respective race groups according to era, engine size, and car type.
