Man stabbed three times during Live Oak party

A Soquel man suffered multiple non-life threatening stab wounds during a Friday night party in Live Oak, deputies said.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a fight just after 10 p.m. on the 3400 block of Garden Street. Upon arrival, deputies said they found 25 people fighting with bottles.

Shortly after deputies said they received reports about a 20-year-old man suffering from three stab wounds at Dominican Hospital. Deputies linked the stabbing to the party and detained 40 people for questioning.

The victim was questioned but refused to cooperate, deputies said.

Deputies have no suspect information at this time. They believe the stabbing is gang-related.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office at 831-471-1121.
