SVMH nurses reach tentative contract agreement with hospital leaders

Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System and the California Nurses Association have reached a tentative contract agreement for registered nurses, according to information released from both parties Friday afternoon.

A tentative strike scheduled for next week has been cancelled, according to the union.

SVMH said the contract will be reviewed and put to a vote May 27.

This comes after an independent fact finding report was released last month, which outlined the differences stemming from an ongoing dispute between Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital and the California Nurses Association.
