UPDATE: Highway 101 lanes open after dirt spill north of Morgan Hill

UPDATE 1:41 p.m.: California Highway Patrol said the dirt has been cleaned up and all lanes are open.

Crews said it took about an hour and a half to clean up.

PREVIOUS STORY: California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-Alert Thursday afternoon because of a dirt spill on Highway 101 southbound just north of Bailey Ave. north of Morgan Hill.

Officers said one lane is open while crews clean up the dirt.

Slow traffic is to be expected until all lanes are cleared by a sweeper.
