Four teens found with guns from Salinas home burglary

Salinas Police say just before 11:00a.m. officers got a call from neighbors on Monte Bella Blvd. about a home burglary happening.

When officers got on scene they saw four suspects run from the house in different directions.

Tiburcio Vasquez Elementary, Bardin Elementary, Alisal Elementary, and Alisal High School were put on lock down.

The driver of a get-away care was eventually stopped after he rammed into a patrol car on Monte Bella Blvd.

Police say all four juvenile suspects were eventually arrested for attempted burglary.

The patrol car that was hit, also happened to lose it’s radiator and had to be towed, officers say it wasn’t because of the crash.

Salinas Police say every patrol officer on shift including probation and truancy officers responded to the scene.

Suspects were found with firearms that were taken from the victim’s home. The victim was not home at the time.

There were no injuries reported.

All schools have been taken off lock down.
