Bees swarm downtown corner in Watsonville, police say

Watsonville police said officers don’t know where the bees came from, but they received a report of bees near 209 Lincoln St. Tuesday afternoon.

People are being asked to avoid the area.

Officers said there was also a report of a large swarm out in the county’s jurisdiction on Paulsen Road off of Green Valley Road.

A local beekeeper is headed out to Lincoln St. to investigate.

There aren’t any reports of anyone being stung.
