$25K worth of equipment stolen from York School

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find the thieves who stole over $25,000 worth of school equipment from York School in Monterey.

It happened some time between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Investigators say several offices and classrooms were broken in to. Among the items taken were laptop computers and flat screen TVs.

Deputies say a school van was also taken but was later returned with some damage.
