New tools for teachers in Monterey County

Monterey County teachers got the chance to check out new teaching tools this afternoon for STEM curriculum.

California recently implemented some strict state standards for the science, technology, engineering and math program.

To help teachers, the Monterey County Office of Education building in Salinas was transformed into and expo center to showcase the new tools.

The Mavericks Civilian Space Foundation was there showing off some 3D printing, as it hopes to see the technology in more central coast classrooms.
