City of Salinas putting together a new committee for Measure G

The City of Salinas is looking for community members who are interesting in joining a new Measure G Citizens’ Oversight Committee.

There will be seven members on the committee and they will be appointed by the city council.

The Committee will review the city auditor’s report and issue a public report to the city council on Measure G revenue and expenditures.

Members of the committee must be residents of Salinas or representatives of businesses located in the city.

If you are interested in serving on the committee you can get an application from the Salinas City Clerk’s Office at 200 Lincoln Avenue, Salinas, 93901.

Applications are also available on the city’s website at www.ci.salinas.ca.us

Completed applications must be submitted no later than 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Measure G is a one-cent general transactions and use tax passed by voters on November, 4, 2014. It was designed to maintain and enhance city services and facilities.
