Moss Landing shop burglarized on Tuesday night, deputies arrest suspect

Monterey County deputies said J&S Surplus in Moss Landing was burglarized on Tuesday night.

Deputies said Angel Alejandro Andrade, 20, was seen looking out of a window at the business when they arrived to investigate. They said Andrade ran out of the building, leading deputies on a short foot pursuit.

During Andrade’s arrest, deputies said they found money stolen from the cash register. They believe Andrade broke a window to get inside and attempted to steal other items in addition to the cash.

Deputies said Andrade confessed to burglarizing the business and stealing the items. Andrade was arrested and taken to the Monterey County Jail.
