Salinas attempted murder victim expected to be OK

Salinas police said on Monday night they responded to an attempted murder near Del Monte Avenue and Green Street around 8:30 p.m.

Officers said a 20-year-old male was shot at least once and his injuries are non-life threatening.

Police said the victim was walking in the 110 block of Green Street when he saw the suspect across the street.

The suspect reportedly started firing a gun and the victim. Police said it is unclear if this shooting is gang-related.
