Police: First homicide in King City this year

The Monterey County Sheriff’s office is investigating a homicide that happened just after 11p.m. Saturday in King City.

Antonio Mendez, 20, was found lying next to a vehicle that was at a trailer park on 101 River Drive in King City, deputies said. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Investigators said Mendez was shot multiple times.
