Free flu clinics offered in Salinas

The Salinas Valley Memorial along with Monterey County Health Department will be hosting two flu clinics on Friday Dec. 12 from 4 p.m. through 7 p.m. and Saturday Dec. 13. from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.

Clinic will take place in the parking lot in front of Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital at 450 E. Romie Lane.

Salinas Valley Memorial will be giving out vaccines on a first come first serve basis as supplies are limites.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends an annual flu vaccine for everyone six months of age and older.

CDC says the benefits of getting vaccinated include a reduction in flu illnesses, related doctor visits and more. In addition to preventing the spread of the virus.
