2 sent to hospital after boat capsizes

The Monterey Fire Department said a boat carrying one woman and two men capsized Wednesday.

The woman was rushed to the hospital. The fire department tells NewsChannel 5 CPR was performed on her on the way to the hospital and the EMTs were able to get a heartbeat.

One man was also taken to the hospital for hypothermia. The second man appears to be fine according to the fire department.

The incident happened about 1 p.m. off 1313 Ocean View Blvd. The three were out fishing, according to the fire department.

The fire department is investigating what caused the boat to capsize.
