2 more suspects arrested for a shooting in Seaside

Two more suspects were arrested in connection to the death of 23-year-old Issac Daniel Iglesias according to the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team.

Investigators say Omar Venegas Ruiz was arrested on November 13. He is being charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and participation in a criminal street gang.

Aaron Diaz was also arrested in connection to Iglesias’s death. He faces three charges including murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Investigators said that on November 12, the suspects walked up to a home on the 1200 block of Hamilton Avenue in Seaside and shot Iglesias, who was in front of his driveway with his brother and friend.

Seaside police say they were able to get away but they were able to arrest Sergio Guevara Calvo and a minor.

Iglesias was transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas where he died from his injuries the next day.

Police said Iglesias was not in a gang and that this deadly shooting was a random act of violence.

Guevara-Calvo and the minor are also being charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Participation in a Criminal Street Gang.
