Shooting in Seaside sends one man to the hospital

Seaside police say one man was shot on the 1200 block of Hamilton Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police are still searching for a suspect.

They say the victim was standing in his driveway with his brother and two friends when the shooter walked up and shot him. Medics took the victim to Natividad Medical Center. Police say he was shot in close range.

The other three were able to get away. Police say all four don’t have criminal histories.

There’s no word on the condition of the victim.

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a dark hoodie. Anyone with information is asked to call Seaside Police.
