King City police officer arrested, accused of threatening ex-girlfriend

A King City police officer was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home and then threatened her and the man she was with at gunpoint.

David Hernandez, 33, is accused of forcing his way into her bedroom inside her Oaks Avenue home Friday night while she was intimate with another man.

Monterey County sheriff’s deputies say Hernandez was armed with a handgun and would not allow the pair to leave for about 15 minutes.

He was arrested without incident and booked into Monterey County Jail but has since bailed out.
