Monterey County Health Dept. offering no-cost flu vaccine clinics

The Monterey County Health Department is hosting no cost flu vaccine clinics at schools throughout the county. Anyone ages two and older is welcome to attend.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Flu clinics are scheduled for the following dates, times and places:

Wednesday, Oct. 29: Del Rey Elementary, 502 King St., King City. 4-7 p.m;
Tuesday, Nov. 4: Mary Chapa Literacy & Technology Academy, 490 El Camino Real, Greenfield. 4-7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 5: North Monterey County High School, 13990 Castroville Blvd, Castroville. 4-7 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 6: Tularcitos Elementary, 35 Ford Road, Carmel Valley. 4-7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 12: Pajaro Middle School, 250 Salinas Road, Watsonville. 4-7 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 13: Seaside High School, 220 Noche Buena Street, Seaside. 4-7 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 18: Main Street Middle, 441 Main Street, Soledad. 4-7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 19: San Ardo Elementary, 62428 Center Street, San Ardo. 4-7 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 20: Monterey High School, 101 Herrmann Dr, Monterey. 4-7 p.m.

Tdap vaccine will also be available for persons 11 yrs. and older while supply lasts. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommends a Tdap vaccine for all pregnant women 27-36 weeks gestation.
