Hollister police seeking to identify suspect who broke into food bank

Hollister police are seeking help from the public to identify the person who broke into a food pantry warehouse this month.

Just after midnight on Oct. 13, Hollister police officers responded to a burglary alarm at the Community Pantry on San Felipe Road.

Officers determined someone had forced entry into a warehouse there and stolen items. Police said it’s not immediately clear what items were taken.

A subject was caught on surveillance footage and police have released images in hopes that the public may be able to help identify the person.

Police believe the incident could be related to an attempted car theft earlier in the evening on the 400 block of San Felipe Road, and possibly a vehicle theft reported later on the same road in an unincorporated part of San Benito County.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to contact Officer Bo Leland at 636-4330 ext. 151. Persons wishing to remain anonymous may call WeTip at (800) 78-CRIME.
