Palo Colorado resident, 71, pleads no contest to molestation charges

A 71-year-old Palo Colorado man pleaded no contest Wednesday to eight counts of lewd acts upon a child.

Monterey County prosecutors say Stevenson Bliss molested the same child multiple times from 2004-2010, when the child was between the ages of 7 and 12.

Bliss is set to be sentenced on Dec. 10 and faces a maximum sentence off 22 years in state prison. He will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
