Seaside residents accused of stealing credit cards

A Seaside man and woman are accused of fraudulently using credit cards taken from a vehicle burglary in the Point Lobos area.

Gerald Ackerman, 28, and Kimberley Ackerman, 44, were arrested Sunday.

Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies say the arrests came after an investigation into a vehicle burglary that occurred last month. The victim gave deputies a list of items that had been taken.

Deputies say they determined the Ackermans used the stolen credit cards at several locations. Deputies investigated the fraudulent use of the credit cards and were able to obtain video surveillance of the two.
