Seaside police identify woman whose body was found in Laguna Grande

Seaside Police have identified the woman whose body was found floating in shallow water at Laguna Grande Monday morning as 58-year-old Charlene Leslie.

Leslie’s cause of death has not yet been determined and an autopsy is still pending, Deputy Chief Louis Lumpkin said Tuesday. He said police are investigating her death as suspicious.

A citizen called 911 Monday morning to report they’d seen what appeared to a body floating in the water.
