Paving work begins this week on Highway 101 in north Monterey County

Paving work on Highway 101 will result in alternating lane closures between Malloy Canyon Road and Echo Valley, between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Work is expected to be completed on the morning of Sept. 16.

The lane closures are as follows:

Tuesday, September 9: northbound Highway 101
Wednesday, September 10: southbound Highway 101
Thursday, September 11: southbound Highway 101 Sunday, September 14: southbound Highway 101 Monday, September 15: southbound Highway 101
