Fire rips through thrift shop of organization that serves seniors, charities

A fire rips through a thrift shop Sunday afternoon of an organization in Santa Cruz that serves seniors and local charities.

Central Fire District crews said flames shot through the roof and north side of the building at Grey Bears around 1:30 p.m.

No one was inside at the time, but investigators said the storage and workshop are a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
