Man, 21, fighting for his life following Seaside stabbing

A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life after he was stabbed in the neck early Saturday morning.

Seaside police said the stabbing happened around 1:07 a.m. in the 2100 block of San Pablo Avenue.

The victim was taken to a Bay Area trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

A male suspect is in custody for attempted murder. Police said they arrested him at a local hospital where he was getting treatment for an injury he received during the stabbing.

Police said at this time they are not releasing the suspect’s identity or the motive for the stabbing.

Officers said the stabbing does not appear to be gang related.
