Monterey man arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure

A 21-year-old Monterey man was arrested Friday on a $100,000 warrant on suspicion of four charges of indecent exposure, police said.

Alan Cruz Mendez was arrested after investigations into indecent exposure incidents in Monterey and Del Rey Oaks.

Monterey police say Mendez was positively identified as the suspect in two cases from Monterey earlier in the summer on a trail in the Ryan Ranch area. They say he’s also been identified from two incidents in Del Rey Oaks in May and August near the Frog Pond.

Detectives arrested Mendez without incident at his home Friday morning. Detectives believe there may be more victims and would like anyone who has more information or believes they have been a victim to call Monterey Detective Bryan Kruse at 646-3812.
